Rayman: The Fan Series

I remember the time when RTFS was born at the old RZ. That sure was a long time ago. As I’ve started working on chapter 3, it reminds me of my first RTFS video; it was about Rayman breaking in the robo-pirates’ base with the help of a walking shell (from Rayman 2) and Globox.

Chapter 2 is out!

Hey guys, this is Abhinav, [don't worry, the intro will be short] a gamer from India, who once upon a time, played a brilliant game called Rayman 2: The Great Escape, fell in love with it, and turned into a crazy Rayman fan. Later, on playing Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc and absolutely enjoying it, I felt like doing something. I first started drawing in paint (I had never drawn Rayman before!), then after tinkering around in Windows Movie Maker, created some small fanvideo animations of Rayman. Thus Rayman The Fan Series (RTFS) was born. The RTFS videos got a lot of positive feedback from various forum members of Raymanzone (back in 2003-04). This encouraged me to do more. 2 years later, I was working on a project in Macromedia Flash, and then I felt, “hey how about making an interactive Rayman fangame?” I tried it out and it worked. That was how the first RTFS Adventure game was created. It got positive reviews from sites like Caiman.us (a site for freeware downloadable games), SAGE expo 2007, and was also published in a gaming magazine called ‘Skoar!’ (the fanvideos were published in earlier issues). Fans looked forward to playing the sequel to RTFS Adventure, but for various reasons, kept getting delayed.

So, here’s the news, RTFS Adventure 2 will be divided into chapters. I’ve already released chapter 1, which is at Newgrounds and Deviantart, or can be downloaded from here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?jqzddmitg0z

I’m working on the next chapter, and I’m sure you guys will enjoy it. Be patient though. It may take a while.

By the way, RTFS Adventure 2 will be renamed to RTFS: Curse of the Jade Lum from now on.  And a special thanks to Hunchman, Romanoproductions and the rest of the PC crew for allowing me to post my updates and stuff related to RTFS here.
